The Wild Nettle Co. was absolutely delighted to be nominated for, and even more thrilled to win the Scotland Prestige Award for Eco-Friendly Products Store of the Year 2022!
One of the core values of The Wild Nettle Co is to be eco-friendly in as many ways as possible, so this award makes us particularly proud!
We have stopped sending paper invoices with orders but if you would like one sent via email then please let us know.
We use Wood Wool for all our gift sets and bundles, and Biodegradable Loose Fill packaging nuts for packing orders, which are made from gm free starch and are 100% biodegradable and compostable (EN13432) – they dissolve in water too.
The brown, paper packing tape is plastic-free, is made in the UK, and is also fully biodegradable. Our mailing boxes are made from recycled kraft paper.
Our soaps and shampoo bars are wrapped in compostable paper, so you can pop them into your food waste bin.
All of our other products come in reusable or recyclable containers, glass, and cosmetic-grade aluminium.
Oil dropper bottles have a glass and PET plastic pipette dropper – refill bottles can be purchased so that you may reuse your pipette dropper.
All our info cards, compliment slips & business cards are printed on recycled paper

The Wild Nettle Co has teamed up with TreeApp to plant a tree for every online order received. What better way to become as Eco-Friendly as possible?
Trees are planted across the world in various locations supporting local communities, reforesting land, and creating marine habitats in coastal areas.
So far, in the last 7 months, we have planted trees in 14+ countries, reforested 350m2 of land, created 62m2 of marine habitats, rehabilitated 21+ Species of trees & animals, and offset more than 42 Flights.
